Associate Board Information & Application

The RJE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is dedicated to sprouting creativity by providing artists with direct funding and community access. The RJE Foundation’s Associate Board is a group of dynamic artists, creatives and emerging leaders who come from a variety of backgrounds and are passionate about supporting and promoting the arts. Associate Board members act as ambassadors of the foundation by supporting the overall mission of the RJE Foundation through volunteering, fundraising, networking and advocacy opportunities and provide meaningful input to ensure that the RJE Foundation thrives into the future.

What we expect from our Associate Board members:

  • TIME: Join 4-6 meetings a year and actively participate in those meetings (virtually, by phone or in person when it is safe to do so). Attend our Battle of the Bands event (Fall 2021) and Annual Celebration of Life Event (November 13, 2021) as well as other events that the RJE Foundation sponsors. All events will be held virtually until it is safe to meet in person. 
    Approximate time commitment: 4 hours per month.
  • ADVOCATE: Act as an advocate and ambassador on behalf of the RJE foundation by helping to raise awareness of the organization’s mission. Promote the Associate Board and RJE Foundation through your professional and personal networks and through social media. 
  • VOLUNTEER: Leverage your talents, skills and experience to advance the mission of the organization and fill the immediate and long term needs of the organization. 
  • COMMITTEE: Serve actively on at least one committee:
    • Marketing & Social Media Committee
    • Events Committee
    • Community & Artist Relations Committee 
    • Sponsorship Committee
  • FUNDRAISING: Assist in our fundraising efforts. The goal is for each Associate Board member to raise at least $1000/year through event ticket sales or sponsorships, procuring silent auction items/raffle donations, contributions from friends and family and/or recruiting artists and talent to participate in the RJE Foundation’s programing.

COMMITTEE INFORMATION

Marketing & Social Media Committee

  • Spread the word about the RJE Foundation and the Associate Board
  • Continue to build the presence of the RJE Foundation and Associate Board on social media
  • Promote fundraising, recruitment, volunteering and outreach events and activities
  • Develop relationships with industry professionals, companies and other non-profits to secure sponsorships and donations
  • Work to ensure consistent messaging at events and in materials and help to evolve our marketing based on the changing needs of the RJE Foundation

Events Committee

  • Assist with the organization’s annual events and programming with the goal of raising awareness, engaging young professionals and fundraising in a creative and meaningful way
  • Responsible for planning 1-2 small fundraising events each year (wine tasting, masterclass, networking, art party, gallery night, concert, etc.)
  • Work with venues to schedule dates, arrange details and manage budgeting
  • Work with staff and Marketing & Social Media Committee to publicize events and sell tickets

Community & Artist Relations Committee 

  • Identify, manage and engage artists and talent to participate in the RJE Foundation’s programming
  • Identify, manage and engage other businesses, nonprofits and organizations to collaborate and partner with the RJE Foundation
  • Assist with coordinating volunteers for the Associate Board and RJE Foundation initiatives 
  • Develop relationships with industry professionals, companies and other non-profits to secure sponsorships and donations

Sponsorship Committee

  • Work on behalf of the RJE Foundation to engage sponsors and industry partners for events 
  • Assist with seeking in-kind donations including professional services and other resources that will help improve the RJE Foundation’s ability to ensure that funds raised go directly to support artists
  • Members will also play a critical role in building partnerships and creating a way to amplify the RJE Foundation’s programming
